Diablo 4 Ditches Item Sets at Launch

DIABLO 4 WILL NOT HAVE ITEM SETS AT LAUNCH

Blizzard has revealed that item sets will not be in Diablo 4 at launch and warned players will have to wait a little after its release for them to drop.

Set items are a big deal in Diablo, as they give players massive bonuses for their skills which can mean the difference between dying and defeating a boss.

Although Diablo 4 will feature item sets, game director Joe Shely revealed in an interview that Blizzard are implementing a new system that would require more time to get right.

Ultimately, Diablo 4 will give players much more freedom in creating their character and give them more reason to farm for weapons and items as Blizzard wants to create a deeper and much more rewarding system for creating builds.

You will be able to try it out yourself soon as the Diablo 4 open beta is expected to take place soon, with Blizzard likely to announce its date during the IGN Fan Fest 2023 on February 17.
