A major patch is underway plus updates on the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown compensation for all affected players.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’s launch was plagued with server issues, login errors, and just overall complaints. Since the launch of the early access on September 5, these issues still persist to some.

Of course it affects all players, but the real losers here are the gamers who bought the Gold Edition which is paid at a premium for its early access to somewhat an unfinished game.

While KT Racing is deploying fixes since the 5th, this inconvenience has to be set straight. This, they understand.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Compensation

As previously published, Test Drive Unlimited has confirmed that there will be compensation to all affected players. It was music to the ears of frustrated players but was also skeptical on what the compensation is and what would the devs deem fair. In the end, the Gold Edition has a high price.

Although the official statement didn’t specify yet what the compensation is (as they are still weighing everything), they confirmed that it will neither be just Solar Coins or an Avatar cosmetic. They further stated that part of the considerations they are weighing is to ensure that the compensation does not give an unfair advantage. They want to make this fiasco right but not to jeopardize the gaming experience of the community. As to when this will be rolled out, no date was announced.



What we can look forward to however, is the first major patch. This soon to be implemented patch will contain more than 300 fixes which includes fixes for visual issues on Hong Kong Island or the different interfaces, as well as gameplay balancing for AIs or races.

Because this will improve game optimization, minimum and recommended configurations will also be updated accordingly. As we get closer to this patch rollout, more information will become available. There is, however, no mention of an offline mode patch which most, if not all, gamers are requesting for.
