Borderlands 4 will get a world premiere trailer at The Game Awards 2024 on December 12. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has excitedly revealed the upcoming trailer will feature gameplay and is “badass af.” Borderlands 4 will launch in the next financial year by the end of March 2026.
Borderlands 4 will drop its official trailer at The Game Awards 2024. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford riled up eagerly awaiting fans with a tweet that said: “It’s happening, you guys! I will be at The Game Awards with a new trailer for Borderlands 4. I can’t wait!”
Pitchford continued to say in another tweet that the upcoming Borderlands 4 trailer at TGA 2024 will feature gameplay. Borderlands 4 follows the Borderlands movie, starring Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kevin Hart, and comes six years after Borderlands 3.
What Fans Can Expect from the Trailer
While Gearbox has been tight-lipped about the upcoming Borderlands 4 and its ongoing development, the company’s CEO Randy Pitchford has been much more vocal, describing the pending trailer as “badass af.”
Although Pitchford hasn’t revealed any particular details such as Vault Hunters or what planets it will be set on, we are likely to get a glimpse of the villain, with Pitchford teasing a “far more powerful and sinister” enemy than Handsome Jack.

Nominated games for the Game of the Year award are Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Fans can watch The Game Awards 2024 on official Twitch and YouTube channels.
