Yakuza Kiwami 3 Officially Announced, Comes Bundled With New DLC ‘Dark Ties’

Yakuza Kiwami 3 has been officially announced during the recently held RGG Summit 2025. While the reveal wasn’t entirely unexpected, thanks to an earlier leak on the studio’s website, the announcement came with a major surprise: a brand-new standalone DLC launching alongside the game that offers fans an entirely fresh perspective.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio had plenty to share during its latest showcase, but Yakuza Kiwami 3 easily stole the spotlight. Fans were anticipating its reveal, yet the trailer still delivered a wave of excitement and nostalgia as Yakuza 3 was shown reimagined for modern consoles.
The biggest twist, however, was the unveiling of a standalone DLC titled Dark Ties. This spinoff lets players step into the shoes of Yoshitaka Mine, the main antagonist of Yakuza 3.
By flipping the narrative, Dark Ties allows fans to experience the world of Yakuza from Mine’s perspective, exploring his backstory, his rise through the underworld, and the choices that defined him.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 and the Dark Ties DLC will be offered together, with a Standard Edition or a Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition includes the base game and DLC for $59.99, while the Deluxe Edition, priced at $74.99, comes with additional outfits, music, and even flip phone customization skins. Preorders are now live, with a preorder bonus of Legendary Lad: Ichiban Kasuga.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is scheduled to release on February 12, 2026 for PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
