Xbox players may not have to wait much longer for this month’s Xbox Partner Showcase. According to reliable insider NateTheHate, the announcement is expected very soon, and the event is rumored to spotlight expanded Xbox Play Anywhere support along with the long-awaited confirmation of Silent Hill 2’s Xbox release.

While speculations about another Microsoft showcase have been swirling for weeks, it wasn’t until Jez Corden of Windows Central confirmed that an Xbox Partner Showcase is indeed set for this month. This was further reaffirmed by NateTheHate who very recently commented on a post on X that the announcement for the event will happen soon.
According to Corden, the presentation will focus on titles from Microsoft’s external publishing partners, with a focus on expanding the Xbox Play Anywhere support. Which if you’re an Xbox user, is music to the ears. It’s basically cross-buy with cross-progression within the Microsoft ecosystem, allowing players to buy titles just once but have the ability to play across consoles, PCs, and cloud streaming devices.
It’s a direction that stands in stark contrast to PlayStation’s more cautious “preserve-console” strategy.

The lineup of games that will be participating is tightly under wraps but there is one game expected to be showcased, even highlighted.
Silent Hill 2’s long-rumored Xbox release is widely believed to be part of it, especially after recent leaks including a briefly visible Xbox Store page showing a November 21 launch date.
