Mixtape Launches Today on Xbox Game Pass

Mixtape is the latest narrative-focused adventure from developer Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind The Artful Escape. The game follows a group of friends during one final night together before life pulls them in different directions. Through a series of memories, conversations, and stylized sequences inspired by teenage experiences, players relive moments tied together by music, friendship, and nostalgia.

The presentation leans heavily into its soundtrack-driven storytelling, combining cinematic visuals with gameplay segments that shift between different scenarios and emotions throughout the journey.

The game officially launches today, May 7, 2026, across all major platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Xbox players subscribed to Xbox Game Pass can jump in immediately thanks to its day-one release on the service. Since it’s a day-one addition, both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members get access as soon as the game unlocks at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT.
