Metal Gear Survive is Konami’s New Metal Gear Game
The popular stealth series Metal Gear is getting a brand new game with the title Metal Gear Survive. It will be a four-player online co-op game which will be available in 2017 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. The game was announced during Gamescom 2016 along with a trailer.

Based on the trailer, it looks like Metal Gear Survive is set after Metal Gear Solid 5. According to Konami, the game will pick up where Metal Gear Solid 5 ended and will take place in an alternate timeline which were caused by unexplained wormholes that were forming in the sky.
Konami adds, “Players find themselves on distorted desert landscapes full of massive half-formed structures, living biological threats, and the remains of a once strong military force now litter the landscape,”
Metal Gear Survive will still include stealth elements which the franchise has been known for, Konami also confirms.
