The Hitman Crossover Gets Axed
The biggest casualty of this corporate divorce is the actual content players were waiting for. Back in June 2025, IO Interactive hyped up a massive Hitman crossover event set within the MindsEye universe.
That mission is completely scrapped. IO Interactive confirmed the crossover will no longer see the light of day, leaving early adopters with even less content for their money.
Behind the scenes, the situation at Build A Rocket Boy sounds increasingly chaotic. The studio has suffered multiple rounds of brutal layoffs, slashing an estimated 300 developers from the original team.
