HALO INFINITE SEASON 3 NOW AVAILABLE

 

Halo Infinite’s season 3, Echoes Within, released on March 7, and it added a new weapon, more graphics options, and a new multiplayer matchmaking system.

  Halo Infinite Echoes Within Patch Notes  

The new weapon in Echoes Within has added the new M392 Bandit semi-automatic tactical rifle, which finds itself in matchmaking and all-new Bandit-only Tactical Slayer mode.

New rotating playlists add the following map and mode combinations:

  • Escalation Slayer on Chasm
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) on Chasm
  • King of the Hill on Chasm
  • Slayer on Chasm
  • Strongholds on Chasm
  • Fiesta Slayer on Chasm
  • Escalation Slayer on Cliffhanger
  • Slayer on Cliffhanger
  • King of the Hill on Cliffhanger
  • One Flag CTF on Cliffhanger
  • Strongholds on Cliffhanger
  • Fiesta Slayer on Cliffhanger
 

New Forge features also come in with Infinite’s season 3, with players able to customize multiplayer maps by changing a limited number of map objects.

Season 3 also includes ray tracing on PC, improving the details of shadows cast by the sun.

The big matchmaking change sees 343 switch from MMR to CSR-based matchmaking, which will hopefully see better ranked matches across all levels.

Halo Infinite has definitely improved over the last 12 months, and Echoes Within has tons of new content and tweaks that make Season 3 the perfect time to jump back into the game.
