EA is reportedly already working on a new Battlefield game and is looking to include a story-driven single-player campaign.

Still facing immense backlash from the failed Battlefield 2042, EA is looking to step away from multiplayer-only experiences and focus on single-player campaigns.

It’s a remarkable reversal considering EA once stated nobody wants single-player experiences and even recently released a tweet mocking those who prefer them over multiplayer games.

But, times are changing, and in an online ad recently spotted by BFBulltein, EA is looking to hire a new director with experience in narrative-driven single-player campaigns.

The ad states the new director will embrace the core tenets of the Battlefield franchise and make sure they are woven through all layers of a masterfully designed single-player campaign.”

As the job posting is still live, we can safely assume that it will be a few years before we see the next Battlefield game.
