Dead by Daylight Announces 2nd Stranger Things Crossover Featuring Vecna
Dead by Daylight confirms a second crossover with Stranger Things. The 20-second teaser suggests Vecna as the focal point
Dead by Daylight has confirmed a brand new Stranger Things crossover for January 2026, marking the second time the two worlds collide. That puts Stranger Things in rare company as it’s only the second licensed IP ever to receive two full DBD chapters alongside Resident Evil.

Dead by Daylight is home to the best, most iconic crossovers in the horror genre. We’ve seen Resident Evil, Alien, Silent Hill, Ring’s Sadako, and many more that brought incredible chapters to the game. It’s exciting to know what franchise comes next, but it looks like our question has been answered.
In a post on the game’s official X account, another Stranger Things crossover is about to happen in January 2026. Not much was revealed but it did come with a 20-second teaser which features the silhouette of Vecna.
The reveal came in alongside the release of Stranger Things final season on Netflix. With the series coming to a close, many are ecstatic that they can look forward to another dose of Stranger Things next year.

Many know the villain Vecna from Stranger Things but it is actually based on a version from Dungeons and Dragons which already appeared on Dead by Daylight in June 2024. Since Vecna seems to be the focal point of this second Strange Things collab, it will be interesting to see how the two versions differ.
Apart from Vecna, all other details are still under wraps. Who will be the Survivors? Will there be a new map? Who knows, but if we were to wager a guess, we’ll know soon too since the release is already in 2 months.
For now, you can grab the first Stranger Things chapter which includes Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler as Survivors, and The Demogorgon as the Killer. It was released in September 2019 but was pulled due to licensing issues in 2021. Fortunately it went back up online in November 2023 and is still there for those who want to play Stranger Things after watching the first 4 episodes of season 5.
