Well, here we are, Caravan SandWitch has finally arrived. The debut indie game from the Studio Plane Toast team and published by Dear Villagers has finally been released, bringing a charming exploratory experience full of mysteries in a colorful world.
During the Wholesame Direct held in June 2024, we witnessed the presentation of Caravan SandWitch, a new exploratory adventure in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Provence. The indie game from the French team Studio Plane Toast tells the story of the planet Cigalo, where our protagonist, aboard her trusty caravan, will explore the game world in search of her sister, who mysteriously disappeared. Offering a mainly exploratory game, without combat or timers, but hiding a plot and mysteries to uncover, by interacting with what’s left of humanity on a planet affected by over-exploitation.
Caravan SandWitch offers a single-player adventure in which we will learn more about the plot and story of Cigalo as we explore and interact with the various characters we encounter. A futuristic world that gives a certain sense of nostalgia and loneliness during certain sessions where we see the effects that excessive exploitation has had on the planet. In short, a story that certainly makes you reflect, especially connected to the protagonist’s sister’s disappearance. But it also offers a relaxing adventure for everyone, thanks to the absence of combat or death, where exploration takes center stage.
We have, therefore, an exploratory game set in a colorful post-apocalyptic world with mysteries, explorable with our trusty van. Caravan SandWitch debuts on 12th September 2024, coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC at a price of 24.99€ with a demo already available for those who want to try the game before choosing.
