Capcom announced that it is considering doing another Open Beta Test for Monster Hunter Wilds after the Playstation global outage.

Monster Hunter Wilds just held its second Open Beta Test over the weekend with more content than the first. Fans of the series were excited and planned on spending the weekend playing it but unfortunately for Playstation users, the recent outage messed that up.

The Playstation global outage had prevented PS users from accessing the second OBT for a full day. This is unfortunate not just for the players but also to Capcom which aims to stress test the game before it launches.

While the next OBT is still scheduled for next weekend, Capcom announced that it is considering doing a bonus open beta test. As per the statement published on X, there might be an additional 24-hour test due to PSN’s service issues.



Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28th which gives us the third weekend of the month as a possible date. If they do go forward with the extra test, it seems that it’s that weekend which makes most sense. But regardless of what will happen, it is comforting to know that the devs listen to the community.
