Dead by Daylight Devs Buy 7 Days to Die
In a surprise move, Dead by Daylight creator Behaviour Interactive has bought 7 Days to Die and its developer, The Fun Pimps. The partnership, The Fun Pimps say, will enable the studio to “grow” and “deliver even more” for the game and its players.
For 13 years, 7 Days to Die has been the underdog story of the survival-horror genre, a game that defined the “craft-to-survive” loop long before it was a mainstream staple.
While The Fun Pimps brought the game to its long-awaited 1.0 release in 2024, the acquisition by Behaviour Interactive marks a massive pivot from indie grit to global scale.
Behaviour Interactive has mastered the art of the “forever game” with Dead by Daylight, and bringing that expertise to Navezgane suggests a future of more frequent updates, polished console parity, and perhaps the most exciting prospect of all, high-profile crossovers.

The New Face of Survival: What Changes for 7 Days to Die?
In a blog post on Steam, The Fun Pimps reassure fans that “nothing about the heart of the game is changing” and that “vision” and “team” stay the same, with the developer continuing to “lead development.”
The acquisition for an undisclosed fee, says The Fun Pimps, means the studio can access Behaviour Interactive’s resources to take 7 Days to Die further than it could without the Dead by Daylight developer’s help.
Expanding the Fog at the Best Price
Despite the corporate shift, the game remains accessible across all major storefronts. The current 7 Days to Die 1.0 version represents a decade of work, finally reaching a polished state.
Comparing the official standard retail price on Steam, which is $44.99 when it’s not on sale, with the $15.77 price on Allkeyshop at the time of writing shows there are better and cheaper ways to jump in.
