Battlefield 6 Winter Offensive Event Available for a Limited Time – Stay Frosty
Battlefield 6 has officially dropped its temperature with the Winter Offensive time-limited event that is live right now across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Winter Offensive is a mid-season update for Battlefield 6 that transforms the Empire State map into a freezing warzone, putting a fresh twist on the smash-hit FPS.
The event comes alongside Update 1.1.3.0 and is available now for a limited time on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, ending on December 22.
Empire State Map Update
Throughout the event, players can fight the cold snap on the new time-limited map, Ice Lock Empire State, which has been overhauled with frozen streets and seasonal visuals.
The map is available in the Conquest, Domination, and Gauntlet modes, offering a fresh variation of the popular map and adding the new “Freeze” mechanic.
New Freeze Mechanic Explained
The new Freeze mechanic is brutally effective, maybe too effective. It forces you to camp near fire barrels, turning you into a sitting duck for snipers, or grenades.
With the event-specific matches much faster than standard modes, players must rotate between “Heat Zones,” such as burning barrels and fires, to warm up and stay alive, ensuring squads and players are always on the move.
Winter Offensive Battle Pass Rewards
The Winter Offensive event brings with it an all-new 11-tier Battle Pass that includes winter-themed cosmetics and the Ice Climbing Axe, the Nomad CX-12 Melee Weapon.
Also available are stickers, XP boosts, and weapon charms, all of which are unlockable through the Winter Offensive bonus reward path by completing event-specific challenges on the Ice Lock Empire State map.
