Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches August 25 with 4-player co-op support, two launch editions, and a day-one Alien: Romulus DLC pack.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Launches on August 25

Cold Iron Studios has announced that the sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite is one month away from launch. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will officially release on August 25, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game will be available in two editions at launch, the Standard Edition and the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition. The Standard Edition includes the base game and is priced at $49.99, while the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition costs $69.99 and comes with the Herks Mondo Pest Pack and the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack.

And for super fans of the Aliens franchise, there’s also a day-one DLC bringing in Alien: Romulus to the mix. Called Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack, the add-on offers “a modified Cryo weapon, signature Colony outfit, and a full loadout of traits, perks, augments, decals, and colorways.”

While Cold Iron Studios has not mentioned any pre-order or launch discounts, the game is currently open for wishlisting across all planned platforms. Oh did I mention that the sequel is upgrading the co-op to up to four people instead of 3 from the first game? Sold!

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is a four-player co-op third-person shooter that puts Colonial Marines against relentless waves of Xenomorphs across dangerous locations in the Aliens universe. Players can choose from a range of classes with unique abilities or create their own playstyle using the new fully customizable Specialist class, combining skills from different roles to suit their squad.

Alongside expanded weapon and gear customization, the sequel introduces smarter enemies, a wider variety of Xenomorphs, melee options, special ammo types, and dedicated Horde mode maps, making teamwork, strategy, and adaptability essential for surviving each mission.
