7 Days to Die developer The Fun Pimps has released a stable version of the V2.0 Storm’s Brewing update for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The massive update introduces new gameplay elements, quality-of-life improvements, and additional customization options.


The Fun Pimps has launched 7 Days to Die 2.0 update, titled “Storm’s Brewing,” for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

After a short testing period that began at the beginning of June, a stable version of 2.0 is now live across all platforms. The update introduces new biome progression, an overhauled weather system, improved zombie AI, and tons more.

What’s New in the Storm’s Brewing Update?

7 Days to Die 2.0 is a major update for the game, one that adds a biome progression system with all-new hazards and challenges. To encourage further exploration, V2.0 introduces a loot stage cap for all biomes with ore types redistributed across the world.

The Storm’s Brewing update introduces a more dynamic weather system with five types of severe weather: Thunderstorms, ember storms, sand storms, snow storms, and radiation storms.

To offer an extra challenge, developer The Fun Pimps has added new special and higher-colored zombies with the Plague Spitter, Frost Claw, Charged Blue Zombies, and Infernal Orange Zombies.

Additional changes include Discord implementation, a new spawn near friend system, a new quest rally marker, new usable hand items, improved AI behavior, rebalanced perks, zombie spawn improvements, performance tweaks, audio enhancements, and quality-of-life changes.
