Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Beta: Everything You Need to Know to Sign Up

Elden Ring Nightreign is the latest FromSoftware adventure in the Elden Ring universe, further expanding the series after ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree. Designed as a standalone spin-off, Nightreign is a co-op action RPG where players team up in groups of three for an epic Boss Rush experience.

Featuring a randomly generated version of Limgrave, players will need to cooperate for three days to defeat the final boss, with a mix of battle royale-style features. Announced for the first time at The Game Awards 2024, the game is set to launch in 2025 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.


Elden Ring Nightreign: Network Test Registration Announced

The Bandai team has revealed the date for the first Closed Beta, specifically a Network Test (stress test). This test will evaluate server stability under a high player load. A crucial step, given the co-op and online nature of Elden Ring Nightreign.

The announcement was made today, January 10, 2025, via Elden Ring’s official Twitter (X) account. Registration for the Network Test is open until January 20, with the test scheduled to run from February 14 to February 17, 2025. However, this first test is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players.



Elden Ring Nightreign – Testing Session Dates

Network Test Registration begins today, January 10, 2025, and will remain open until January 20. Regarding the exact dates and times, the team has provided the following schedule of five 3-hour game sessions:

14 February (Session 1)

  • 3:00am – 6:00am PT / 6:00am – 9:00am ET
  • 12:00pm – 3:00pm CET

14 February (Session 2)

  • 7:00pm – 10:00pm PT / 10:00pm – 1:00am ET

15 February 

  • 11:00am – 2:00pm PT / 2:00pm – 5:00pm ET
  • 4:00am – 7:00am CET

16 February (Session 1)

  • 3:00am – 6:00am PT / 6:00am – 9:00am ET
  • 8:00pm – 11:00pm CET

16 February (Session 2)

  • 7:00pm – 10:00pm PT / 10:00pm – 1:00am ET
  • 12:00pm – 3:00pm CET
  • 17 February 4:00am – 7:00am CET



Nightreign: Beta Testing Wrap-Up

According to Bandai, this test will be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but the game is confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates and the first wave of player feedback on this Elden Ring experience.

As fans prepare for this new challenge, many will dive back into Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree to hone their skills. Nightreign’s Boss Rush formula, despite some initial skepticism, might prove to be a winning choice, especially with more news and official showcases on the horizon.
