Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – New Trailer Revealed
With just 2 weeks to launch, Kojima Productions and Playstation are gearing up for the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. On 11 June 2025 they dropped a new Trailer focused on courier Sam’s adventures beyond the UCA borders. The Trailer is called: Explore. Connect. Survive.
It shows us lots of new features and mechanics in the new sequel. Expect unpredictable situations with dynamic terrain conditions, new abilities, and the new Porter Grade replacing proficiency levels. Combat also evolves, with Sam facing not only Beached Things but also new human enemies called “Armed Survivalists”. Expect intense fights and new weapons like the Electrified Pole at his disposal.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – Latest News
On 9 June 2025 there was a special Premiere at the Orpheum Theatre with Kojima, some actors, and Geoff Keighley. They shared news and features about DS2. We also got to see some gameplay clips with new enemies, game zones, mechanics and combat.
The adventure takes place about 11 months after the events of the first game. We follow Sam who, after retiring with Lou in Mexico, gets involved in an accident that takes him to Australia. The story unfolds outside the new UCA, expanding the Chiral Network further. Ending the Showcase with a Behind The Scenes with the making of the soundtrack.
