Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Gets New Over the Top Zombies Trailer
Many fans were disappointed to learn that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 won’t feature a full singleplayer campaign, a huge step away from the basic formula every entry in the franchise has been following until now. But it seems Treyarch will be compensating fans with an expanded Zombies game mode. A new trailer has been released for the mode that gives players a peek at just how crazy things will get.

The trailer starts of with Scarlett, one of the four protagonists for the game mode, narrating her estranged relationship with her father. Her father seems to be at the center of everything strange that’s going on, which ranges from feral mindless undead to time travel and even black magic. Bruno, Diego and Shaw join Scarlett to round up the cast for the 4-player co-op mode. The 3 other characters seem to owe Scarlett’s father a debt of gratitude and so have joined in on her quest.
It seems that the mode will take players to multiple locations, each one probably stranger than the one before it. The trailer started off on the Titanic, where some strange magic has transformed the passengers into zombies. Striking an ancient staff into the ground then transports the group into what looks like an arena for gladiators in Ancient Rome. There they battle a zombie tiger and other forms of deadly creatures.
The trailer also teased a great deal about the mode’s melee combat. There was a barbed whip that retracts into a sword, a massive hammer with what seem like magical carvings, and an Indian chakram, albeit a smaller version of the throwing weapon.
