Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is a FPS game, developed and published by Fatshark.
In addition to several existing strategy titles, this one explores the side the cooperative FPS genre with four heroes joining forces to try to save the city of Ubersreik which has suffered an infestation from Skavens. Rats men are absolutely everywhere and to keep you alert, their appearances are generated randomly.
Each hero is different, and can be selected from five characters, like the soldier of the Empire and Waywatcher among others, this allows members of your team to select different characters or for the game to assign a bot to fill in if there are not enough players to complete a full party.
The team concept is extremely important to the studio Fatshark, besides hordes of enemies to face, they try to isolate you from your allies to better destroy you. Rats fitted with a grappling hooks can catch one of the heroes and lead them away from others.
To defend themselves, each character has two weapons: one for close combat, the other for remote shooting, and these weapons are directly dependent on the chosen hero. The gameplay is well made it is possible to switch from one weapon to another in an instant, which adds an exciting dynamic to the fighting and in addition each weapon has two distinct uses.
You will also have a couple of tasks that need to be performed to save the city of Ubersreik, each being different as we let ourselves be surprised by an unexpected spawn. It is a pleasure to play a game that has a familiar atmosphere with a game mechanic that has proven itself to be dynamic and diverse in it’s approach.
