For Honor is a non-fantasy hack and slash role-playing game developed by Ubisoft Montreal which features a hand-to-hand combat system described as “The Art of Battle”, and allows players to play the roles of historical soldiers such as Medieval Knights, Samurai, and Vikings.
For Honor is a competitive third-person melee title which emphasizes fighting tactics, speed, and strategic teamplay with close-range combat. The player can choose and customize which character he plays as from three different factions: The Legion, The Chosen, and The Warborn. These factions represent Knight, Samurai, and Vikings, respectively.
The Legion are the brave knights who believe that death is better than defeat. They are the protector of their lands, driving out invaders and conquering those who oppose them. They have established a following that shares this same belief, hundreds of them would fight to protect what is their own.
The Chosen has survived a thousand years of wandering the southern deserts and managed to lead their clan to a path of glorious victory and establish a new civilization.
While known for their fire and passion, The Warborn warriors sail across the enormous seas striking fear into the hearts of their enemies and drive them out of their ancestral lands. The story revolves around the heroes’ journey of each clan as they fight to protect their lands form the forces who would dare conquer it.

I cannot explain how amazing I found the beta. Truly well polished, and the gameplay has such a steady learning curve that beginners will still find it fun while pros will master it with time.
I saw some gameplay footage at E3, and I was impressed a lot by its gameplay, they did a really good job on this one title. =)
