Multiplayer Platformer Chapeau Announced

Salt Castle Studio has released the first trailer for its new fast-paced multiplayer platformer game, Chapeau. The trailer featured one of the many hats you can plays as, traversing a big city. It also showed a few customization features and three very interesting-looking game modes. Said game modes can be played with up to three other players on a split-screen multiplayer mode. According to the game’s website, there is a strong emphasis on the use momentum. A release date is yet to be announced.


Ubisoft Investigates The Division 2 Signature Weapons Ammo Issue

Players have been encountering a bug in The Division 2 since its huge Tidal Basin update rolled out. The bug makes it hard for players to find ammunition for signature weapons, and fortunately, Ubisoft is now looking into the issue. For the meantime, players could do a workaround to refill their signature weapons. The workaround involves switching specializations at The White House, then swapping back.


Black Ops 4’s Mobile Companion App Will Include Combat Records

Treyarch has announced that they’re bringing “a brand-new addition to the Call of Duty mobile companion app” on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s fourth big Operation which will drop later this month. The feature is called Combat Record and it will show players’ stats for Individual Weapons and Weapon Categories, Specialist Weapons, Equipment and Special Issue Equipment, Scorestreaks, Maps by Mode, and Attachments Across All Weapons. Some players, however, would rather see this feature in-game instead of in the mobile companion app.


Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders Launches May 1st on Steam

Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders, a point-and-click adventure game, is heading to Steam on May 1st. The game will take players to imperial China where they must catch a serial killer. As Detective Di, players will investigate and find clues, solve puzzles, and re-enact the crimes according to how he theorized it. Players will also find themselves immersed in political and personal intrigue while trying to solve crimes.


Improbable Working on Its First RPG

Improbable, the studio behind the multiplayer cloud-based platform SpatialOS, has shared some details on its first game. The game, which is currently unnamed, will be an online RPG, however, it will not be an MMO. The team that makes up the development arm of the game includes former devs from BioWare, Ubisoft, and Capcom. Improbable did not mention any other details on this game aside from those mentioned.


Tencent Launches WeGame’s Global Version

Chinese gaming giant Tencent has launched the global version of its gaming distribution client, WeGame. The global version is called WeGameX. As of now, it only houses 17 titles that were created by independent Chinese developers. We are yet to see how Tencent’s own storefront will fare without big-name titles.


Annoying “Hey, Agent!” NPC Shout Fixed in The Division 2’s Latest Update

The Division 2 players will be happy to know that Massive Entertainment has included a much-awaited quality-of-life change in the game’s Invasion Battle for D.C. update. The change involves NPCs in The White House. With the change going live, the NPCs will now be saying, “Hey Agent,” a lot lesser than before. This has been an annoyance to players in the game since most of them spend a lot of time in The White House for crafting, and more.


Tomb Raiding Tactics Game Pathway to Launch April 11th

Publisher Chucklefish has announced its latest game, Pathway, and it’s launching really soon! Pathway is a turn-based tactics game that has pixel-style art. It features five campaigns that each have varying difficulty levels, and each also partly procedurally-generated. It also features 16 different characters, that each have their own qualities, to unlock. Pathway is set to launch on April 11th, and will be available on Steam and GOG.


The Outer Worlds Doesn’t Have Crafting

Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds will not feature any crafting. This is because the game is centered on capitalism. “One of the reasons we sort of shied away from it was with all the corporate branding that we had,” said the game’s lead designer Charles Staples. But Staples was quick to add that they still want to “allow a little bit of customization” in the form of modding weapons and armor.


Blizzard Teases New Cuban Content for Overwatch

It looks like Overwatch will be heading to Cuba, as suggested by a teaser that Blizzard released over the weekend. The teaser was a fictional article by Marise Solis, which discusses the current situation in Havana, Cuba. The fictional news could possibly contain clues to the next Archives event. Whatever this may be, we would have to wait for further details, as we are quite sure Blizzard will release some soon.


The Division 2’s Project Quests Temporarily Disabled

Ubisoft has temporarily disabled The Division 2‘s daily and weekly Projects. The was in an effort to patch the bug that enabled players to repeatedly claim rewards granting them way more loot than the company had intended. Ubisoft tried earnestly to correct this problem this last Sunday with an emergency server restart but that was to no avail. Consequently, the Projects are disabled until a fully functioning solution surfaces and is applied.


PES 2019’s Data Pack 5 Update Out Now

Konami recently released a new Data Pack update for PES 2019. The pack includes numerous a graphical changes and a bunch of player faces to the sports simulation title. The new faces that have been added are Radja Nainggolan, Kevin-Prince Boateng, and Ilkay Gundogan. Meanwhile, Samuel Umtiti, Jack Grealish, Samir Handanovic, and Ethan Ampadu received ungraded faces. Gearbox CEO Responds to Borderlands Review Bombers

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has given his two cents on the flood of negative Steam user reviews that are being posted on Borderlands games. This had happened just as Borderlands 3 was being announced as an Epic Games Store exclusive. He expressed his thoughts in a tweet which read “Ironically, that this misuse is possible and that Steam has no interest in correcting this misuse makes me kind of happy about 2k’s decision and makes me want to reconsider Gearbox Publishing’s current posture on the platform.”


Respawn Might Be Adding Punishments for Frequent Quitters in Apex Legends

Respawn is currently prepping to implement a system to combat the issue of quitters in Apex Legends. The game is squad based and each squad is fundamental in design where every member has a role to play in order for it to function optimally. Going forward, players who quit games prematurely will receive escalating cooldowns after quitting one too many times. Note that leaving the game after you have already bled-out won’t attract this penalty and neither will be leaving while your squad isn’t full.


Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to Relaunch in June with a Physical Edition

Developer Fatshark and publisher 505 Game have officially announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be getting a physical release with all the DLC’s in the summer of this year. The Deluxe Edition will hit shelves for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 11, 2019. The Deluxe Edition includes the two premium expansions which are the Shadows over Bogenhafen and the Back to Ubersreik. However, the developers’ announcement had no mention of an MSRP for the disc edition.


Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Will Not Be an Epic Store Exclusive

Developer of Vampire: The Masquerade – The Bloodlines 2 Hardsuit Labs was compelled to publish a tweet, affirming that the game will not be an Epic Store exclusive. The tweet read “We will not be exclusive to Epic – we will be available on the Paradox store, Steam, GOG, Epic and you will also be able to buy it on PS4 and Xbox One.” This was in an effort to clear up a lingering misconception that the game would be only available in Epic’s storefront. The game is set to drop within the first quarter of 2020.


Dangerous Driving Vehicles Revealed

Three Fields Entertainment has revealed images and screenshots brandishing the wide range of vehicles available in Dangerous Driving. The Vehicles were 27 in total, spread across six car classes. These cases include Sedan, SUV, Coupe, Supercar, Hypercar and Formula DD. Every class comes with a Base vehicle and a Tuned, Advanced and Prototype variation. You will unlock the Base vehicle at the start of each new Class of Events. You unlock the other variants by winning a Gold Medal in the required event.


Tiny Tanks Coming to Steam Early Access

Appaloosa Interactive and AndNow have released a new trailer and screenshots in celebration of Tiny Tanks entering Steam Early Access. Tiny Tanks is a fast-paced action game. It is perfect for couch parties as it allows up to 8 player battles. You will also be able to play against players all around the world in the online mode. According to the developers, everything is included and can be freely combined with the game modes. All this will ensue on the April 11, 2019.


Watch Dogs 3 Possibly in Development and is Set in London

Information has surfaced suggesting that Watch Dogs 3 three is currently in development. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier was the source of the news. According to said source, not only is Ubisoft working on the title but the game will be set in London. Unfortunately, that is all that has been divulged with regards to Watch Dog 3. Hopefully, for the sake of the fans the company is indeed working on the issue as it’s predecessor was well sought after and cheered by the playerbase.

Planet Coaster: Classic Rides Collection Arrives April 16th

Frontier Developments has publicized that a new, free roller coaster and premium Classic Rides Collection for Planet Coaster is set to arrive on April 16 of this year. This collection will feature nine all-new rides for players, plus one variant ride similar to that of the Magnificent Rides Collection.
