Dio and Jotaru Kujo Join Jump Force

New screenshots for Bandai Namco’s upcoming game Jump Force reveal two new characters joining the game. The new characters are Jotaro Kujo and Dio from Hirohiko Araki’s Japanese manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The new screenshots were published in Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s not too long until Jump Force gets released, and Bandai Namco has been revealing new characters week after week. The game launches February 15th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ESRB Rating Revealed

The ESRB has revealed its rating for the upcoming action adventure game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It has been given the rating of T for ‘’Blood, Partial Nudity, Violence’’. The game’s description mentions the weapons the protagonist Miriam uses, as well as the enemies she will face. It also mentioned that it features a lot of blood, most notably one of the bosses who emerges from a bathtub full of it. The game is yet to get a release date, but is set to release for PC and consoles sometime this year.


Black Desert’s Final Open Beta on Xbox One Announced

Black Desert is just a few weeks away from its launch, and Pearl Abyss has announced that it will be getting one final open beta. The Final Open Beta takes place from February 14th, and will run until the 17th. This is available for players in Europe and North America who have an Xbox Live Gold account. The beta gives players access to the regions of Balenos and Serendia, 6 launch classes, as well as a level cap of 40. Black Desert officially launches on March 4th.


City Building Sim “Foundation” Now on Early Access

Polymorph Games’ medieval city building simulation game Foundation is now available on Steam Early Access. You can also pick it up at GOG.com if you prefer. Polymorph says the game is pretty playable now, with over 40% of its planned content already in the game. The game lets players take on the role of the Lord of the Manor and objectives include managing people, resources, and production chains as they create a the Medieval city of their dreams.


Abandon Ship Adds Three New Regions and More in Latest Update

The ship management game Abandon Ship is currently on Steam Early Access, and its Shattered Empire update has rolled out and unlocks three new regions for the game. The three regions are The Howling Seas, The Forsaken Seas, and Shattered Empire. The update also comes with a new compass for the ship, as well as Lighthouses that will aid players as they explore the world. The new Friends and Enemies system is also added and might either help players or put them through hell. Abandon Ship is available for PC via Steam.

Latest World War Z Trailer Shows Hordes of Zombies

A new trailer for Saber Interactive’s third-person co-op shooter World War Z has been released, and it shows hordes upon hordes of zombies that players will face in the game. The trailer is evidence enough that players won’t be left with nothing to do. You’ll also see some action-packed zombie-killing in different locations in the game. Although the game doesn’t have a release date at this time, World War Z will be launching for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Re-Legion Out Now

The cyberpunk RTS Re-Legion is out now on Steam! To mark the game’s official release, a launch trailer has been released for the game showcasing what players will expect as they take on the role of a leader of a murderous and brainwashed cult. The game lets players create their own religion and of course make people become followers of their cult. It’s worth noting though that some players have reported bugs in the game like buttons not working, and some issues with its AI.


Mortal Kombat 11 is Purely Cosmetic and Won’t Carry Stats

Mortal Kombat 11 will include gear, but it is worth noting that these will not carry stats and are purely cosmetic. This was clarified by Netherrealm’s Trevor Traub, as some fans might speculate that Mortal Kombat 11 gear might be a repeat of the ones in Injustice 2. Traub says that players have the freedom to make their characters look however they want, but their stats won’t get affected. Mortal Kombat 11 launches on PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on April 23rd.

Ace Combat 7 Gets Mixed Reviews on Steam Over Joystick Issues

Just a few days after its official release, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has received mixed reviews on Steam. This is specifically because of some incompatibility with the Thrustmaster HOTAS flight stick as well as some issues found on the game’s PC version. Thurstmaster has since released a statement advising players to update their flight stick drivers. Project Aces, on the other hand, are aware of the other issues and are now fixing them.


Blackout Gets New Map in Next Season

Treyarch has promised Black Ops 4 players that Blackout will receive map changes over time, however, since it launched back in October, the battle royale mode only got one additional map – Hijacked from Black ops 2. Season 2 is also set to end in a few weeks, and Treyarch said through a reply to a Tweet that the team is currently working on new content and that Season 3 will be coming soon. Respawn Unveils Battle Royale Game Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment, makers of Titanfall, has announced a new game that is set in the Titanfall universe. The new game is named Apex Legends, and it is a battle royale game. It is free-to-play and is now available on Origin for PC as well as on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Though set in the Titanfall universe, the game doesn’t feature any titans. It will, however, support up to 60 players, while 3-players will be the maximum to form a group for team-play. The game reportedly supports microtransactions, details are not available at this time.


Metal Slug XX Comes to PC

Metal Slug XX, the PSP game released back in 2009, and was a remake of Metal Slug 7, is finally on PC! This run-and-gun shooter can now be purchased on Steam, and is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One via backwards compatibility. The game features the same chaotic and explosive action fans of the franchise enjoyed. The game features the characters Marco, Eri, Fio and Tarma who will be joined by King of Fighters’ Ralf, Clark, and Leona.


Final Fantasy 14 Gets Its Next Expansion This July

Square Enix announced fresh details on Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion. The publisher announced that the game’s next DLC, Shadowbringers, will be launching on July 2nd. This expansion includes a new raid series that’s based on Nier: Automata. This announcement came with a new cinematic trailer that showcases the Gunbreaker class, as well as the new playable race the Viera. The Shadowbringers expansion also features 9 new dungeons, reworked battle system, and many more.

Post-Release Plans for Wargroove Revealed

Developer Chucklefish revealed its post-launch plans for its turn-based tactical game Wargroove through a blog post. The studio plans to roll out a patch which includes fixes specifically on online spectating bugs in the near future. This particular patch is currently in the approval process. Beyond this, there will be quality-of-life fixes. They are also looking at “a larger content update, DLC and more” in the long run.


Battle Brothers Gets Nordic-Themed Expansion

A second DLC for Overhype Studios’ strategy RPG Battle Brothers has been announced. Warriors of the North is a Nordic-themed expansion, and Overhype said that is should be ready within the next few months. This DLC adds a new human faction to the map’s northern portion. This faction is said to have a love for sacrificing humans and raiding. Warriors of the North is also said to be smaller in scope as compared to the first one, Beasts & Exploration.


Kingdom Hearts 3 Sees Successful UK Launch

Kingdom Hearts 3 has released last week, and we’re already seeing it on the top of the UK Sales Charts! The game has reportedly set a record for the series as the most successful game in the franchise in terms of sales in the UK. This is also the first time a Kingdom Hearts game topped UK sales. The game also dethroned Resident Evil 2 which now sits on second place. It also debuted at the top of the sales charts. Completing the top 5 are Red Dead Redemption 2, FIFA 19, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.


Over 10 Million Players Watch DJ Marshmello’s Fortnite Concert

Over the weekend, DJ Marshmello staged a concert in Fortnite’s Pleasant Park, and it was quite a success with over 10 million concurrent players viewing it. The event took place for only 10 minutes. Giant Titans Spawn in Anthem’s Freeplay

During the recently held public demo for Anthem, players faced Ancient Ash Titan enemies which are part of the game’s first ever live world event in Freeplay mode. These titans came out from a spiraling violent storm cloud which also eventually split up fireballs. Anthem will launch February 22nd, and it’s a huge possibility that players will see these kinds of events once the game officially launches.


Final Fantasy 15’s Flying Car Heads to Final Fantasy 14 as a 4-Player Mount

Final Fantasy 15’s luxurious car that Noctis and his crew are riding around in is heading over to the MMO Final Fantasy 14. This was announced during the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Paris. In this cross-over, Noctis will be helping out players in Eorzea, and by completing it, players will get the chance to be rewarded with the Regalia and can be used as a mount which can accommodate up to 4 players. How this can be unlocked is yet to be revealed.
