Magic: The Gathering Arena’s Event Changes Rolled Back

The Wizards of the Coast is going to roll back the previously announced changes for Magic: The Gathering Arena’s Constructed Events, and this is all thanks to the fans’ feedback. The changes that were questioned was for the structure of the Constructed Events as well as the individual card rewards or ICRs. The changes now favor best-of-1s instead of the normal best-of-3s removing the ICRs. The new changes are believed to take away the game’s strategy, making it more of a game of chance.


Trials Rising Delayed

Trials Rising will be delayed a few weeks as Ubisoft RedLynx and Ubisoft Kiev would need a little extra time to fine-tune the game before releasing it. The originally scheduled release for the game was on February 12, 2019, and now, it will be delayed up until February 26, 2019. Trials Rising will offer new epic locations around the world as well as a hundred tracks. Riders will travel the world and put their skills to the test with varying levels of difficulty and competition.


Valfaris Announces Free Demo on Steam

Digital Uppercut and Steel Mantis have announced the demo for their upcoming 2D action-platformer Valfaris. The demo will be available on Steam from now until December 31st. Once it hits midnight Pacific Time the demo will be deleted and players will have to wait for the game’s full release in 2019. Players will get to play the role of Therion the son of the Warrior Lord. You will kill the monsters that have invaded Valfaris by shooting and slicing your way through as well as deflecting some hazards.

Cygames and Arc System Works made a surprise announcement during the Granblue Fantasy Fes 2018. Horizon Shift ’81 will be available on the Nintendo Switch next week. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC Soundtrack Available For Digital Purchase

The Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna DLC soundtrack is available for purchase. The OST is called The Golden Country. This has been released in Japan as a physical medium, but for all those in the west, you can purchase this digitally. There are eleven songs in the soundtrack and none of these are available in the core game. Those interested can purchase the songs individually or as a whole so you are able to pick your favorites if you wish. The soundtrack is available in iTunes right now.


New Street Fighter 5 Character Announced

A brand new Street Fighter 5 character has been announced and it is Kage. According to the official description of the character, Kage is the embodiment of Satsui. He manifested because Ryu rejected Satsui no Hado. Now, Kage hungers for power in order to prove that “Ryu is nothing without him”. Todd Macfarlane’s Spawn To Guest In Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 could possibly get Todd McFarlane’s Spawn as a guest character. Speculations arose because of a Reddit AMA question asking McFarlane if he would be allowing Spawn to be in Mortal Kombat 11 and his response was “I believe he’s on his way…” He may not know that the announcement is not public yet, so this is not an absolute guarantee that the character Spawn will make it to the game. We would have to wait for further announcements to make sure that the grim and gritty character is on its way.


Kingdom Hearts 3 Epilogue And Secret Movie Only Accessible Through Update

Contrary to what most fans feared, Kingdom Hearts 3’s epilogue and secret movie will not be leaked. Square Enix confirmed that access to these won’t be possible without the needed update. Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura is asking fans to refrain from posting spoilers about the game. The director apologetically expressed remorse after the game had leaked and outlined that the studio knows what had caused it. “We want everyone to be able to equally experience the full game after its release, so we ask for your continued support on this matter,” he said. Kingdom Hears 3 is scheduled to be released on January 29 of next year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.


New Anthem Legion of Dawn Trailer Revealed

Bioware released a brand new trailer for Anthem. It highlights the special Legion of Dawn edition and delves deeper into the Legion of the Dawn’s lore. The video shows how The legion of the Dawn overcame the darkness that once enslaved them. Players would argue that the noteworthy display of the trailer was the wonderfully rendered armor. Viewers also learned that there is Legion of Dawn themed armor for every playable class in the game among many other details. Anthem is due for release on February 22, 2019.


Prosperous Universe Now Available in Early Access

Prosperous Universe is now on Steam Early Access. This is a space economy simulation game in which you are the CEO of your own spacefaring company. The game allows players to craft and design spaceships, tour the galaxy and fortify alliances with other companies and or business of reputable value. The developers recommend that players produce, trade, transport, and profit in the game to ensure success. Prosperous Universe is set to be released in 2019.


Firewatch Can Now Be Played in Nintendo Switch

Campo Santo’s Firewatch, which first launched in 2016, is finally getting a Nintendo Switch port today! The game is now available in the eShop for $20 and it is the same price for the game on other platforms like PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The developers said that they focused on the game’s optimizations for the Switch port so that it would not suffer from any performance issues. The improvements are actually filtered out to all the game’s platforms which means that they will all benefit.


Fortnite v 7.10 Delayed

Fortnite’s newest patch called the v7.10 was supposed to launch today, however, it will be delayed due to some issues that the developers were able to find. Also, fans believe that included in the patch is the new vehicle called Driftboard which is also being delayed as a bug was found in it as well. Right now, we have no news when the patch will be released and if the new Driftboard vehicle will be launching along with it or if that would be a separate release.


Second Playable Character in Kingdom Hearts 3 Confirmed

Tetsuya Nomura previously hinted that a second playable character will be available in Kingdom Hearts 3. All the speculation has been confirmed with the release of the new trailer called Final Battle. The second playable character is a childhood friend of Sora named Riku. Actually, Riku had been a playable character in the series before like in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance and the PS 2. The Final Battle trailer also shows the new locations for Kingdom Hearts 3.


New Fallout 76 Update Hints On Possible Loot Boxes

Fallout 76 might have loot boxes in the form of the Lunchboxes. The information was discovered thanks to dataminers. Lunchboxes are not a new thing for the Fallout franchise as Fallout 4 had them before and it had confetti and a random item when opened. However, the details of the Fallout 76 Lunchbox describes it as “random rewards in exchange for in-game or real-world currency”. All this information should be taken with a grain of salt as no official announcement has been made yet.


Red Dead Redemption 2 Back at the Top of the UK Charts

Red Dead Redemption 2 is back on top of the UK sales charts! This is a week after the game was briefly surpassed by Super Smash Bros Ultimate last week, making it land on the second spot. This week, Super Smash Bros Ultimate landed on the fourth spot. Following Red Dead Redemption 2 is FIFA 19 which is still going strong in terms of sales in the UK charts. On third is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Battlefield 5 lands on the seventh spot, followed by Forza Horizon 4 on 8th.

The Liar Princess and The Blind Prince received a brand new trailer thanks to NIS America. The video though is quite strange and creepy. The trailer is short and it shows the Princess and the Prince taking a break from their journey. She prepares food and offers it to the blind Prince. What makes the video creepy is the fact that the food offered is a bloody piece of meat. The Liar Princess and The Blind Prince will launch on February 12, available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.


Early Access Title Geneshift is Free on Steam for a Limited Time

Head over to Steam now and get the early access title Geneshift for free! This battle royale game is free from now until December 19th. Geneshift is inspired by Grand Theft Auto 2, and in the game, players have two minutes to battle it out with other players, with the last man standing as the winner. The map has vehicles, weapons, and power-ups at players’ disposal. Underworld Ascendant Update Will Have New Save System And Other Changes

Underworld Ascendant launched underwhelmingly, but developer Otherside Entertainment is trying to turn that around with efforts for a new update. They are planning to release two major updates on Steam. This will bring a new save system to the game allowing players to save anywhere as well as make changes to the combat. It will also come with some tune player movement, quest improvements and an overall enhancement for the player’s journey in the game. The update is expected by February 2019.
