Viking Action-RPG Rune 2 Available Now

Human Head Studios is happy to announce that Rune 2 is now available on PC via the Epic Games Store. This good news comes after the game faced delays and controversy on its Epic Games exclusivity. Rune 2 will task players into defeating Loki once more, and offers new features this time. The game lets players choose their own deity, and also features solo or co-op modes. Crafting is also part of the game, including collection of artefacts. The original Rune game launched almost 20 years ago.

Just Dance 2020 is Nintendo Wii’s Final Release

Ubisoft has revealed that Just Dance 2020 is its final release for the Nintendo Wii. The publisher added that although they have decided that Just Dance 2020 will be their final release on Wii, they cannot speak “on behalf of other publishers or for Nintendo.” The Nintendo Wii first launched in 2006 and went on to ship 101 million units. Popular Wii games include Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Super Mario, Metroid and The Legend of Zelda.

Rockstar Offers Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Players Gift as Apology for Issues

Rockstar Games is apologizing to PC players for the issues they faced when Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC launched. As a form of apology, the company is handing out a care package to “everyone who plays [RDR2] on PC this week and through to the holiday season” in Red Dead Online. Rockstar also added that they are working “as quickly as possible” to resolve all other remaining issues.

Gears of War Crosses Over to Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is having a cross-over event with Gears of War for a limited time. Players who login to Sea of Thieves from now until November 22nd will get access to the Gears-of-War-inspired Omen Ship Set. This set contains a themed hull, sails, and flag, as well as a Chainsaw Bayonet figurehead. Players who are also looking to complete their Obsidian Ship Set will get the chance to acquire the Obsidian Wheel by tuning in to Microsoft’s Inside Xbox X019 livestream via Mixer on November 14th at 8pm GMT. Players must be logged in using their Microsoft account connected to Sea of Thieves

Rare to Announce New IP, Reports say

A tip by games industry analyst Daniel Ahmad mentioned that Rare is set to announce a new IP at X019 this week. Ahmad did not mention any details on what exactly this new IP will be aside from the fact that it will be from Rare. There’s a possibility, however, that this new IP could be released on next-gen platforms including the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Project Scarlett. It could also be possible that this new IP could release as part of Xbox One’s 2020 lineup.

Diablo 4 Progress Updates to Start in February

Blizzard has announced that they will start updating Diablo 4 fans about the game’s progress in February 2020. Subsequent updates will come quarterly. In a blog post by Diablo 4 game director Luis Barriga, he added, “We’ll share behind-the-scenes looks at our progress going forward.” Barriga also said the team is “having the same conversations about items and stats that [fans] are having” and that getting these right “is at the top of our minds.”

Giants’ Alphama Benched After Defeat in R6 Pro League Finals

Giants Gaming has benched Léo “Alphama” Robine after the team’s quarter-final loss to Aerowolf at the recently concluded Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals in Japan. Alphama took to Twitter and announced the unfortunate news saying, “The team has decided to trial new players. From now on I will be looking for opportunities from any region to compete at the highest level possible. Ready to move anywhere bringing with me my assets: Any role, information gathering, IGL/Shoutcalling, Tier 1 exp.” Giants will be helping facilitate Alphama’s transfer to another team.

Voting for League of Legends All-Star Event Live Now

Voting for the 2019 League of Legends All-Star Event has now officially opened. LoL fans all over the world can cast their votes for their favorite pro players until November 20th. Fans can vote for two players per region — only those who have played in five pro matches during 2019 are eligible. Cross-region votes are also weighted with a 20% limit for votes coming from outside the pro’s home region. The 2019 League of Legends All-Star Event will take place at the Esports Arena in Las Vegas from December 5 to 7.

Latest Overwatch PTR Patch Nerfs Shields

Overwatch has received a huge patch on the Public Test Realm which includes changes to nine heroes, nerf on shields, and more. A lot of players have expressed their frustration on spending too much time tackling shields and barriers instead of other players. This should change with the latest PTR patch as the Overwatch team has added nerfs on shield heroes Orisa, Sigma, and Reinhardt. The complete list of changes are posted in the Overwatch forums in Blizzard’s website.

G2 Jungler Jankos Says the Team Will Return Stronger Next Year

G2 Esports’ jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski posted a YouTube video where he aired his thoughts on his team’s Worlds 2019 run. According to Jankos, he’s still relatively happy about the year he and his League of Legends team had despite getting defeated by FPX at the Worlds 2019 finals. He added that FPX won because G2 needed to change how they play and that he will try harder next year.

Microsoft Teases Age of Empires 4 for X019 Yet Again

Microsoft has released another teaser for Age of Empires 4, and is on the road for a reveal on X019. This is supplemented by a new tweet by Microsoft GM Aaron Greenberg that says, “A new Age is upon us at #X019.” Back in summer, the company also released an initial teaser for the game. In related news, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition releases November 14th, the same day as X019.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Showdown Launch Date Announced

Yacht Club Games has announced when Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown will be launching. Both are the final addition to the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove! The Shovel Knight: King of Cards is the 2D spin-off platformer that focuses on the King Knight. This also comes with Jaustus, the card game. Shovel Knight Showdown is the local four-player battler of the game. The two will be arriving at the same time on December 10th.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Expected Sell 8 Million Copies at Launch

The single-player melee action game, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order from Respawn Entertainment has launched and it is expected to sell around 8 million copies at launch. Jedi Fallen Order takes place five years after Revenge of the Sith. The protagonist is a guy named Cal Kestis who is a Jedi Padawan. He is trying to run from the Empire forces who are hellbent in killing all Jedis. The main enemy in the game the Second Sister, who is a trainee under Darth Vader.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Update Adds Waypoints

The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update 5.2 has been announced and it will be adding waypoints to the game. In a team, there is always that teammate that gets lost. Thankfully, with the addition of waypoints, that will not happen again. The new system will let players add specific, detailed movement commands on the map that their teammates can see, making the chances of anybody getting lost very slim. This update will go live for the PC on November 20th and on the 26th for the consoles.

Death Stranding Update 1.05 Now Live

Death Stranding had just recently launched and a new downloadable update is available for it right now. The patch is update 1.05 and it comes with several performance improvements for the game. This follows the day-one update that was able to fix a variety of problems for the game. The only thing listed on the patch notes is that it comes with “various performance improvements” but it doesn’t have an itemized list of what it is. Once you turn on your PlayStation 4 the update should automatically download.

Gas Guzzlers Extreme PS4 Launch Date Announced

Iceberg Interactive and Gamepires announced that Gas Guzzlers Extreme will be launching on the PlayStation 4. The game comes with 12 game modes, 42 tracks, 8 different environments, 21 cars that are customizable and upgradeable, 12 arenas, 22 distinct zombie variants, and 12 unique weapon types. The game’s launch will also come with the Full Metal Frenzy and the Full Metal Zombie DLCS. Get to play Gas Guzzlers Extreme on the PlayStation 4 starting November 26th.

The Crew 2 Gets New Major Update for Free

A new free major update is available for The Crew 2 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This is patch 1.5.0 and it comes with new events, cars, as well as vanity items that you can unlock. The name of the update is Blazing Shots and it comes with weekly Live Summit events that are PvE competitions. How well you do during these events will dictate what reward you will be getting. Once a month there will also be a Premium Live Summit. There are four new vehicles as well as eight new vanity items available and so much more.

Bee Simulator Out Now

The educational family game called Bee Simulator is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Get to explore the famous Central Park through the eyes of a bee. You will get to collect pollen, interact with your other fellow bees, confront threats like wasps or even losing your home to humans who would want to chop down the tree that it is on. The game offers a realistic open world, co-op and PvP multiplayer modes up to four players and most of all learning while having fun.

Johan “PieLieDie” Åström Joins DOTA 2 Team T1

A new Dota 2 team called T1 is composed of players from other previous teams. One of the players announced is Johan “PieLieDie” Åström from his team Newbee from The International. His team had previously disbanded and the team registration page shows him as part of the T1 roster. Another player seen in the roster is the South Korean veteran Lee “Forev” Sang-don from T19. The roster should be a five-player team, but not all of the slots are taken as of yet.

Shadow Arena Closed Beta Test Announced

The fantasy arena fighter game called Shadow Arena has been announced and it is accepting closed beta test signups right now. The game originated from a mode in Black Desert where fifty players fought against each other, with the last man standing as the winner. The closed beta test is set to launch on November 21st up until the 24th. Sign-ups can be done through the Shadow Arena website. The closed beta will be available for PC and can support both English and Korean.

WRC 8 Launches for the Nintendo Switch

WRC 8 which had previously launched for the PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One and is now also available for the Nintendo Switch. WRC 8 is the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship. The game comes with all new car and surface physics as well as unique dynamic weather conditions. There are 52 international rally teams to choose from, 100 special stages across 14 countries. And a selection of classic rally cars in the WRC history is also available.

Battle Realms Coming to Steam Early Access This Month

A post by Official Battle Realms Community Manager KoMiKoZa on the Battle Realms 2 Facebook page revealed that the 2001 RTS Battle Realms will be available on Steam Early Access starting November 25th. The Steam version will come with a “fully functional online multiplayer.” KoMiKoZa added that “this is not a re-release (as it was with GOG).” It will be receiving updates and improvements continually as long as fans support it. Its Steam Store page is still in review, while its official website is currently being worked on as of this report.
