Nintendo Switch Online’s Launch Date Announced

The Nintendo Switch Online service was announced to launch by September 18 which is a Tuesday. It will come with a 7-day free trial available from the Nintendo eShop. The online service will give players access to play online with friends as well as have access to 20 NES games when it launches. Some of the games included are The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., and Mario Bros. 3. The three options for subscriptions include a 1-month membership, a 3-month membership, and a 12-month subscription.


SKT Telecom T1 Won’t Be Competing in This Year’s League of Legends Tournament

In an unprecedented twist of fate, SK Telekom T1, the Korean team who took home the top spot in both the 2015 and 2016 League of Legends World Championships, won’t be appearing in this year’s tourney. The team that’s often labeled as the best in the world has failed to qualify after losing to Gen.G in the LCK 2018 regional qualifier. This is the first time the team has failed to qualify for the Worlds since 2014. Meanwhile, playoff and qualifying games continue to take place across all regions.


PUBG’s Latest Patch Adds Training Mode, Tukshai Vehicle, and the MK47 Mutant

PUBG’s latest patch is out now, and it brings the much awaited training mode as well as new weapons, attachments, vehicles, and reward system. The update adds the MK47 Mutant assault rifle, as well as the Tukshai vehicle. The Tukshai is exclusive to the Sanhok map. The Supply System, which offers rewards to players who complete certain daily and weekly missions, is also included in this update.


State of Decay 2: Daybreak Pack Has Launched

The Daybreak Pack DLC for State of Decay 2 has just launched. The expansion adds a new zombie siege mode that lets 4 players team up as Red Talon soldiers while trying to defend a satellite relay from waves of zombies. A new zombie freak type has also been added. The Blood Plague Juggernaut has the ability to infect players and turn them into zombies unless the player is able to get a cure before a set amount of time. The DLC also adds several weapons, accessories and base upgrades.


Fnatic Wins in the EU LCS 2018 Summer Split

The European League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split 2018 has recently concluded, and the finals had Fnatic and FC Schalke 04 facing off. Fntatic took the championship with a total of 180 points. Fnatic’s players included Bwipo, Broxah, Hylissang, sOAZ, Rekkies who was a fan favorite and Caps who is the season’s MVP. They were coached by Dylan Falco. For FC Schalke 04, the members are Visicsacsi, Amazing, Nukeduck, Upset, and Vander. They, on the other hand, were coached by Guilhoto.


Spintires Mudrunner American Wilds Expansion Launches October

Although Mudrunner 2 has already been announced, Spintires: Mudrunner is still getting a brand new expansion. The American Wilds expansion is set to launch on October 23rd and will be adding 2 new sandbox maps inspired by the landscapes of Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota. There’s also 7 new trucks included and a ton of other content. An American Wilds Edition of the game will also be released at the same time which includes the base game, the American Wilds expansion, and all other previously released DLCs.


Left Alive Introduces Three Playable Characters

A new game from Square Enix called Left Alive has been introduced along with three of its playable characters. The first one is Mikhail Alexandrovich Schwarov who is a part of the Rutenian Army’s 2nd mechanized platoon and is a wanzer pilot. The second character introduced is Olga Sergeevna Kalinina and she was once a wanzer pilot in Garamonia and eventually became a police officer in Novoslava. The third one is Leonid Fedorovich Ostermann, a high ranking member of the NGFP.


Nintendo’s EGX 2018 Lineup Announced

Nintendo announced their lineup for the upcoming EGX 2018 which is slated to happen from September 20-23 at The Nec, Birmingham. Nintendo’s lineup include indie titles such as No More Heroes, Baba is You, Wargroove, and Moonlighter. Windjammers will also be on display. There’s also a chance that attendees can get a hands-on experience with Stick Fight, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Into the Breach, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse, and Untitled Goose Game, as well as The Gardens Between, and Treasure Stack.


SoulCalibur 6 Features Character Customization in New Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the upcoming weapon-based 3D fighter, SoulCalibur 6, that shows off the different modes and features the game will ship with. There’s the basic arcade, versus and training modes. There are also 2 story modes — Soul Chronicle, which is the actual story of the game, and Libra of Souls, which you can play with your very own custom character. Online modes consist of Ranked and Casual, and theres a Museum feature with lots of character artwork and info.


Super Street: The Game Out Now

Lion Castle Entertainment’s Super Street: The Game has been released and this is their official arcade racing game for the franchise Super Street. The game allows players to create their rides from scrap. It also features a variety of game modes as well as environments. The special thing about this is that players are able to completely destroy their vehicles with its destruction system. There are 700 car parts to choose from as well as 70 of the well-known aftermarket performance brands.


Pathologic 2 Enters Open Alpha

Upcoming narrative-driven survival-thriller indie game Pathologic 2 has entered open alpha. This means any player on PC can join the alpha by simply singing up through the game’s website. The alpha build will give players access to the game’s first three chapters out of the 12 that will be included in the game’s final build. It is also worth noting that the game is still a work in progress so expect some issues and bugs during the open alpha.

Final Fantasy Classics Heading to Switch

Great news for all the Nintendo Switch fans out there! Square- Enix made an announcement during the recent Nintendo Direct that Final Fantasy 7, 9, 10 and 10-2 remaster, plus Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age will be coming to the Nintendo Switch by late 2019. This will mark the comeback of the Final Fantasy games to the Nintendo platform. The last Final Fantasy game to grace the console was Final Fantasy 6 for the Super Nintendo. Xbox One will be getting the games as well.


Tom Clancy’s The Division is Free This Weekend

This weekend is extra special as The Division is free to play. We know that it will run at the same time along with Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s “Black Out” but if that is not your thing, you can spend your weekend with The Division. This is available on all its platforms, and just a reminder you will need the PS Plus if you are playing on the PS4, or the Xbox Live Gold for the Xbox One. PC will be available through the Uplay Client. Discounts for the game will also be available at this time.


Cities Skylines Out now on the Switch

The city building simulation game Cities: Skylines, which debuted on PC in 2015, is now available on the Nintendo Switch! Players can now download the game at the Nintendo eShop. The Switch port includes the full game plus the After Dark and Snowfall expansion packs. Cities Skylines is also available on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.


Animal Crossing is Finally Coming to the Switch

Nintendo has confirmed during this year’s Nintendo Direct that the community simulation game Animal Crossing is heading to the Nintendo Switch! The game does not have a specific release date at this time, but Nintendo said it will be released in 2019. In related news, Isabelle, who is a character from the game has also been confirmed to be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, and she will also be joining in 2019.


Warframe’s Switch Release Date Announced

As announced earlier this year, Warframe is coming to the Nintendo Switch and it now has an exact launch date. The announcement came during the Nintendo Direct. This popular, free-to-play hit which has about 38 million players is coming to the Switch on November 20th so mark your calendars. The studios behind the port are Digital Extremes and Panic Botton who also made the Switch versions for Doom and Wolfenstein.


Bethesda Confirms Wolfenstein 3

Let us rejoice as we are not left hanging and we will be seeing the end of BJ’s story in Wolfenstein! In a recent interview with Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines by Game Corner, he was asked if a Wolfenstein 3 is in the works and Hines answered with “absolutely we’re making a Wolfenstein 3.” For right now we don’t have any other information about this but we will keep you posted as soon as we will know more!


New Special Event and Other Changes Added to Blackout Beta

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 developer Treyarch has announced that they will be making another round of changes in the game’s Blackout beta. Most notably, there will be a new event which will replace the Fast Collapse event. The new event is called Close Quarters, and as the name suggests, this event is all bout close-range combat. It features only SMGs, shotguns, handguns, and old-fashioned fisticuffs. Four new characters will also be added to the roster: Mason, Menendez, Reznov, and Woods.


A Hat in Time’s DLC is Free on PC for 36 Hours

Gears for Breakfast’s A Hat in Time has a new DLC and it is free for the first day or 36 hours from its launch and it will be available for purchase after. The DLC is called Seal the Deal and it will come with new content. The new chapter that it comes with is called The Arctic Cruise. A new difficulty mode is also available and it is called Death Wish. There are also six new Time Rifts, a lot of outfits, dyes, flairs and camera filters. The DLC is only available for the PC version of the game right now.


Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Post-Launch Content Announced

Ubisoft has unveiled their post-launch plans for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass will include two major story arcs that are told across multiple episodes. Each episode will be released six weeks apart, and each arc has three episodes each. The first one, dubbed “Legacy of the First Blade,” focuses on the first assassin to wield the spring-loaded dagger. The second arc is set to be released next Spring.


Forstpunk’s Free Fall of Winterhome Expansion to Release Next Week

11 Bit Studios’ snow-filled city building management simulations game Frostpunk will be getting its next major expansion, The Fall of Winterhome. It will be launching on September 19th. This expansion adds a new story-driven scenario, as well as hours of brand-new content. The Fall of Winterhome is the latest expansion among those 11 Bit has planned for the game.


Diablo 3 Heading to Switch This November

With just a few more weeks of waiting, Switch players will be getting the Diablo 3: Eternal Collection! This will be available on November 2nd and it will come with Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer add-ons plus the Zelda-themed exclusives. Players will also get local co-op play with up to four people in just one Switch and other options are also available if your friends have their own systems. The great thing about this is that, players don’t need constant internet to play.
