Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 Roadmap Revealed, Launches December 4
Activision and Treyarch have revealed the first major content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, with a massive roadmap for Season 1, launching globally across all platforms on December 4.
Described by Activision as “the biggest Season 1 ever,” the upcoming update will feature new free and premium content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
Launching December 4, this update will feature new and returning maps, endgame content, modes, weapons, and skins, with post-launch content for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Multiplayer: Maps, Modes, and Throwbacks
The Black Ops 7 Multiplayer offering is simply glorious, offering a total of seven new maps throughout the season, including four brand-new ones, with Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, and Yakei.
For long-time fans, there are also beloved classic map remasters. These include Standoff and Meltdown from Black Ops 2, as well as Fringe from Black Ops 3.
Players can also look forward to nine total new and returning popular fun modes making a comeback, such as Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, Sharpshooter, Sticks and Stones, and the holiday-themed Codmas Snowfight.
Full Integration and Weapon Arsenal
December 4 will also mark the full integration of Black Ops 7 into Warzone, transforming the battle royale mode with new movement mechanics, loadouts, perks, equipment, operators, and challenges.
The Season 1 update introduces the new Resurgence map, Haven’s Hollow, which Activision is promising will offer “fast-paced frenetic” action across familiar and new areas.
Switching up the meta, seven new weapons will be unlockable via the Battle Pass and seasonal challenges, including the fan favorite Maddox RFB Assault Rifle, the Kogot-7 SMG, and the versatile Ballistic Knife.
The Expanding Zombies Narrative
CoD Zombies is getting expanded in Season 1 with more perks, loadout content, augments, Gobblegums, equipment, and the brand-new round-based Astra Malorum map.
The Zombies mode continues to be an integral part of the Call of Duty experience. Throughout the season, players can crank up the difficulty to Cursed on Astra Malorum, play through a guided Main Quest in Directed mode on Ashes of the Damned, unlock new Pack-a-Punch weapon camos, and earn new GobbleGum and camo rewards on the Season 1 30-player leaderboard.
