Top 20 Games Similar to DOOM 2016

If there is one thing to know about DOOM is that it is a great stress reliever if you have spent a complicated day, worrying at work or at home and you want to let off steam a bit.

You wake up trapped in a base in full demonic invasion and as in any good self respecting DOOM game, you must defragment everything.

Without any really clear goal when starting the game, the only thing you are sure of is that you will have to make your way among the hordes of demons. Unlocking satellite access that allows you to do a scan of the base will be your first goal. It will allow you to have a situation report to advance in the game.

Basically, you will take this first mission as a tutorial, allowing you to familiarize yourself with your weapons and techniques.

Obviously, this game is not complicated, but the intro is really huge and lays the foundations of the game.

The game’s graphics are also very nice, and the hardware needed to run this game are more than reasonable, so there’s no excuse to not play DOOM.

DOOM is an FPS franchise that has been around since 1993. Just like Duke Nukem, which was released in 1991, DOOM has renewed itself with a new release this year, while Duke Nukem’s was also welcomed back in 2013.

Doom is one of the oldest franchises around and we will find in his entourage games like Quake and Duke Nukem, which are part of the precursors in this field.

These games are followed by many others, all from different or sometimes similar horizons, taking into account an imaginary universe or integrating history into ours.

What do these games have in common?

For a game such as DOOM, we will take as part of comparison the horror side of an FPS game. Games such as Space Hulk DeathWing, Killing Floor 2, the well-known Wolfenstein The New Order (from the famous Wolfenstein series) make our list. But we could also add games like the of Call of Duty series‘ Zombies Mode, or Metro 2033, and many others.
