Star Wars Battlefront 2 is shifting the internet’s focus back to its single player campaign after hyping everyone up for the game’s multiplayer features using none other than John Boyega.
The latest trailer released by EA features Idina Versio, leader of the Inferno Squad of the Imperial special forces, and her father as she learns of the emperor’s death and final command.
Versio’s father seems to be a high-ranking Imperial officer as he is privy to details even Versio is not authorized to know.
The emperor’s messenger then goes on to play a message from the emperor commanding that ‘Operation Cinder’ be put to motion immediately. Although little information was given about the operation, it seems to be geared towards annihilating what the empire sees as the rebellion’s fuel — hope.

We still don’t know how the story will play out. Will Versio turn hero eventually, or will she be loyal to the Empire’s will? Regardless, one thing’s for sure — the campaign is shaping up to be quite interesting for fans of the franchise and shooters alike.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be releasing on 17 November for PC, XBox One and PS4. The multiplayer beta will be starting next week from 6 October (8AM UTC) to 9 October (4PM UTC), with those who pre-ordered getting earlier and longer access starting on 4 October (8AM UTC).
