Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 7 Not a Hero DLC will be released in Spring of this year. The DLC will also mark the return of one of the original Resident Evil main characters, Chris Redfield. All these were confirmed by Capcom themselves through a tweet in the Resident Evil Twitter account.
The announcement read: “Chris Redfield returns in the free ‘Not A Hero’ DLC for
#RE7 this Spring.” Capcom also mentioned that he is chasing someone or something, and whatever or whoever it is we’re gonna have to find out once the DLC is released.

For those who were able to finish Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, you’ll remember that a certain “Redfield” appeared at the end of the game. Fans of the game were a little skeptical if this guy is really Chris Redfield, because his looks changed… a lot. Take a look at this comparison of how Redfield looked from Resident Evil 5, 6, and 7 (photo from Polygon):
Another thing you must have noticed was that this Redfield guy is working for Umbrella Corp, as seen from the ending scenes. We’re guessing these scenes have got something to do with the events which will unfold in the Resident Evil 7 Not a Hero DLC.
Whatever it is, we’re definitely looking forward to what Capcom is going to offer. We’re absolutely curious as to what Chris Redfield is doing in Umbrella Corp.
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard emerged as the top-selling game for January 2017 in the US, according to a report by the NPD Group.
