Bluehole has given us a peek at PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds foggy weather effect with screenshots posted on Twitter. The new update, which is scheduled to be released later this week, is now live on the game’s public test server. This new update comes with the foggy weather effect, as well as other additions such as a new town, and a new weapon.

The foggy weather is not that big of an update, but it does give players a little bit of a challenge. Although it won’t be occurring much often, the foggy weather effect will hinder players from seeing buildings and other players clearly. With this challenge, players will have to put their close-range action on.

Also, as previously reported, AFK farming will now be addressed. According to Bluehole, they have implemented rules that won’t let idle players earn Battle Points (BP). They will monitor this, and will improve the current system as days go by.

In addition, the much-awaited vaulting system will not be included in this update. Instead, it will be released in the public testing server in November.

“The algorithm is quite complex and requires rigorous testing and fine-tuning of the map. Testing it for only a couple of days before deployment on the Live servers won’t be enough for us to identify all bugs and side effects. Therefore, we are planning to test it for a longer period of time in early November. If needed, we may roll it out on test servers for a certain amount of time even before November. Until then, we will be working on the feature internally. Please stay tuned for an update on the testing schedules for vaulting,” Bluehole explains.
