In celebration of the theatrical release of Justice League, Warner Bros. has added gear based on the costumes of characters appearing in the movie to their 2D fighter, Injustice 2.
Players will be able to collect new gear for Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash and Aquaman based on their movie counterparts. You can check out the gear in the trailer below.
The new gear can be obtained as rewards for completing new Multiverse challenges. Players can take on these limited-time events through the Multiverse portal. The first ones available will be for Flash, while challenges for the other leaguers will follow soon.
The movie tie-in gear is only available to console and mobile players at the moment. There is no word on when or whether they will be made available to the PC version of the game.
The Justice League movie premiered yesterday. Fans have had a lot of issues with the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) portrayed in the films so far, with the anticlimactic Batman v Superman leaving a grim impression on the future of the franchise. Wonder Woman, the latest movie to come out of the DCEU before Justice League, was a box office and critical success though, so fans are still hopeful. One thing’s for sure, Justice League will have a it’s work cut out for it.
See you at the movies weekend, if you’ve yet to see the movie that is.
Injustice 2 just dropped the most surprising reveal for its Fighter Pack 3. Atom, Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles join the fight.
